Why D20 Epic Level Does Not Publish Copyrighted Name Brand Content

At D20 Epic Level, we are committed to building a creative, ethical, and legally responsible marketplace for the tabletop and gaming community. We often receive requests for content based on well known entertainment brands, but it is important for customers and creators to understand why we do not publish or sell copyrighted material from franchises such as Dungeons and Dragons, Critical Role, Dimension 20, or major video game titles.

Respecting Wizards of the Coast and Dungeons and Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons is owned by Wizards of the Coast and all official material is protected under copyright and trademark law. This includes classes, monsters, campaign settings, characters, names, artwork, and world lore. None of these elements can be legally republished or used in commercial merchandise without licensed permission.

For this reason, D20 Epic Level does not publish content, apparel, or artwork that uses any protected Dungeons and Dragons material. Our designs are inspired by the tabletop community and general fantasy themes, not by specific copyrighted brands.

Clarification About Critical Role, Mighty Nein, and Vox Machina

Critical Role is an independent production with its own copyrighted worlds, characters, and storylines. This includes the Mighty Nein, Vox Machina, and the animated series The Legend of Vox Machina. All character names, settings, artwork, and story references belong to the creators of Critical Role.

Because of this, we do not publish merchandise based on these characters or settings. We respect the efforts of the cast and creators and we avoid using their protected content without authorization.

Why We Avoid Publishing Content From Dimension 20 and Other Shows

Dimension 20, like Critical Role, has trademarked characters, stories, and branding. Using these elements without permission would violate intellectual property laws. To remain compliant and respectful, we do not create merchandise tied to any specific show, campaign, or cast member from these productions.

Copyright Restrictions Also Apply to Video Games

Many customers request designs based on popular video games such as Minecraft, Call of Duty, Fortnite, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, Valorant, Destiny 2, and others. These games have strict copyright and trademark protections on everything from character models to logos and item designs.

We cannot publish artwork or products that reference these protected elements. Instead, we focus on original designs that fit the gaming lifestyle without imitating licensed content.

Vendor Policy and Legal Responsibility

D20 Epic Level offers a marketplace that allows approved vendors to sell their own creations. However, it is important to understand the following:

  • Vendors are fully responsible for ensuring that their products do not violate copyright or trademark laws.

  • Vendors are liable for any legal action, takedown notice, or infringement claim resulting from what they upload or sell.

  • D20 Epic Level is not responsible for legal consequences arising from vendor submitted content.

  • If a takedown request is issued for any vendor product, we will honor the request and remove the item immediately.

We encourage all vendors to create original designs or use properly licensed assets to avoid potential legal issues.

Our Commitment to Creative Integrity

We want to maintain a community that is ethical, respectful, and creatively free. By avoiding copyrighted material and honoring takedown requests, we protect our business, our customers, and our creators. Our focus is on originality and celebrating gaming culture in a way that does not depend on copying protected content.

Supporting the Gaming Community the Right Way

Fans of Dungeons and Dragons, Critical Role, Dimension 20, and major video games are always welcome here. We share the same passion and enthusiasm. Our goal is to provide unique and inspiring products that honor the spirit of gaming without infringing on the copyrights of the studios and creators who shape these worlds.
