D20 Con 2030 – Convention Rules
To ensure a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience for all attendees, vendors, guests, and staff, all participants must follow these rules while at the Clinton Agriculture Center during the convention.
General Conduct
- All attendees, vendors, and staff are expected to behave respectfully to others. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- The use of foul language, offensive gestures, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the convention without refund.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Attendees must follow instructions from convention staff, security, and facility personnel.
Admission and Badges
- All attendees must have a valid ticket and badge for entry.
- Badges must be worn visibly at all times.
- Tickets are non-transferable unless approved by convention staff.
- VIP and other special tickets may grant additional access; please follow designated areas.
Agriculture Center Compliance
- No outside alcohol or illegal substances are permitted on the property.
- Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
- Firearms, weapons, or explosives are strictly prohibited unless approved cosplay props.
- Animals are not permitted except for service animals.
- Food and beverages purchased outside the Agriculture Center are not allowed inside unless approved by convention staff.
Gaming Areas
- Attendees must respect assigned gaming areas and tables.
- Waitlists for full games must be followed; cutting in line is prohibited.
- Gaming materials (dice, character sheets, miniatures) must be kept in the assigned areas.
- Attendees must clean up after themselves and leave tables in good condition.
Vendors and Dealers Room
- Vendors must remain in assigned booth spaces at all times during the convention.
- Each booth must be staffed at all times during Dealers Room operating hours. Vendors may have multiple admission tickets per booth, but at least one person must always be present while the booth is open.
- Booth displays must not block fire exits or walkways.
- Vendors are responsible for all setup and breakdown within designated times.
- Vendors may sell weapons, but all firearms are prohibited, except for replica or cosplay-level weapons.
- Any weapons sold must be removed from the premises immediately after purchase.
Vendors are responsible for ensuring the buyer cannot take possession inside the convention.
Vendors must either have an employee escort the weapon to the front of the building or request staff assistance to ensure it is safely stored in a vehicle.
Weapons may only be taken to the car from the front door and must not be carried through the convention space. - Vendors must follow all local health, safety, and Agriculture Center regulations.
Cosplay and Costumes
- All cosplay weapons must have red tape on the tip or end.
- All melee or thrown weapons must be made of styrofoam or similar safe materials and must not be able to injure anyone.
- All weapons will be inspected upon entry. Non-compliant props will not be allowed.
- Costumes must cover all personal private areas for male, female, and other genders.
Costumes that expose more than a standard bathing suit will not be permitted on property.
Attendees in non-compliant costumes will be asked to cover up immediately. Failure to comply will result in removal from the premises without refund. Attendees may return once in compliance. - All armor and costume designs must be safe and not pose a hazard.
Any costume or prop presented in a way that could disrupt, injure, or endanger others may require modification or removal from the convention.
Food Trucks and Food Policy
- Food trucks operating outside the convention center may not sell alcohol.
- Food and beverages purchased from food trucks or vendors may be brought into the convention, except:

The Card Game Sections - Food trucks are responsible for their own power supply and water, if needed.
- Food trucks must be paid in full to reserve their spot. No deposit is required.
- Food trucks do not receive convention passes. Employees entering the convention must purchase tickets if they wish to access indoor areas.
- Food truck operators must comply with local health and safety regulations.
- Food and beverages may only be consumed in designated areas.
Safety and Emergency
- Obey all posted safety instructions and staff directions in case of an emergency.
- All emergency exits must remain clear at all times.
- Any unsafe behavior, hazards, or incidents should be reported immediately to convention staff.
Photography and Media
- Photography is allowed unless a guest, vendor, or attendee requests otherwise.
- Recording panels or events may require permission from presenters.
- Photos and videos taken may be used by D20 Epic Level Con for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified.
COVID-19 / Health Compliance (if applicable)
- Attendees must comply with any local health and CDC guidelines in place at the time of the convention.
- Masks and sanitization may be recommended in certain areas; follow staff instructions.
Consequences
- Violations of convention or Agriculture Center rules may result in warning, removal, or banning from the event without refund.
- Staff decisions regarding safety and compliance are final.
By attending D20 Con 2030, you agree to follow all rules and respect the convention, the facility, and fellow attendees.
